Kathy and Russell had a beautiful little wedding at The Wauwinet on Monday June 22nd 2015. Their wanted a small wedding with just the two of them and it couldn’t have been sweeter. They had a beautiful Nantucket evening to exchange vows out on the Zen Deck overlooking the waterfront. I met with them earlier in the day, we had been in touch for a while but I wanted to have a coffee with them and hear more about how they met and why they love Nantucket….”Both of our sons were in the same class. We met at PTA meetings and on the little league fields but didn’t start dating until our sons graduated from 8th grade. I spent many summers on the Cape and took several trips to Nantucket.  I had great memories of these trips and specifically Nantucket. I knew Russ would love it too and I always wanted to take him there. It did not disappoint us. It was a magical week spent in Nantucket and Chatham. We hope to go back for our anniversary.” After meeting them for coffee we strolled around town and I took them to our favorite new Gallery on Centre St. and then they went to pick up her amazing bouquet by Flowers on Chestnut.

The couple had a great day on Nantucket and then it was time for the wedding! As I walked https://viasilden.com around The Wauwinet with them it became apparent that they had met everyone who worked there and they are truly two of the nicest people I’ve met. They instantly feel like your old friends. I asked them more about a memorable part of their day….”Since we eloped, the kindness of strangers was the most memorable part.  We were treated like mini celebs by the Wauwinet guests and staff.  It was wonderful to finally meet our photographer Katie Kaizer after multiple conversations and an honor to be the first marriage ceremony for our officiant, Keith Yankow who did a wonderful job. ”

It was such a special little wedding for Kathy and Russell. I adore these small intimate weddings and loved photographing their evening! Wishing them all the best and looking forward to see them as they come back for their anniversary for years to come!!
