a Personal Experience
Katie believes in
Katie enrolled at The New England School of Photography in 2009 and spent the next two years studying Photojournalism and Wedding Photography. Now, with a career spanning over fifteen years, she has developed an intuitive approach to storytelling that honors the raw, unscripted beauty of the human experience.
Katie’s photography journey began long before her formal education; she spent her youth documenting life on Nantucket, chasing the golden light of coastal sunsets, days spent on the horse farm, and adventures aboard her father’s fishing boat. Today Katie lives full time on Nantucket with her husband Evan, their children Millie and Archie, and their rescue pup, Ziggy.
On your wedding day, Katie maintains a calm, supportive, and unobtrusive presence. Her philosophy is to honor the intentional flow of your celebration, allowing moments to unfold naturally so you remain fully present and enjoy the celebration. Katie approaches every portrait session, engagement, and wedding not simply as a booking, but as a unique artistic endeavor. She believes that her photography is only one facet of her work; equally vital is the genuine, enduring relationship she builds with her clients.

In addition to her professional career as a Wedding and Portrait Photographer, Katie has always been passionate about using her photography to tell the stories of many deserving organizations that are near and dear to her heart. She has worked with and volunteered for countless Non-Profit Organizations on Nantucket and around the world. Some of the organizations have included the Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals, Project Have Hope in Uganda, Marion Therapeutic Riding Association, The Egan Maritime Institute and many others.
