Meaghan and Tim were married on September 19th 2015 at Meaghan’s Parent’s home in Bourne, Cape Cod. They had a gorgeous day with blue skies and sunshine and their property was the perfect place for everyone to gather and celebrate the couple. The bride’s brother, Patrick, Officiated under a alter that Meaghan’s father had built. The whole family and friends had all come together to transform the property into a venue for their 260 person wedding and it was absolutely beautiful. Meaghan’s father was even building last minute stairways up until moments before the ceremony started! I grew up with Tim on Nantucket and when they asked us to come over and photograph the wedding I was honored. It was wonderful to see so many of our lifelong friends and also to meet Meaghan’s family and friends! As it turns out the property holds special meaning for the couple as that is where they first met….

“We met at my parents’ house. Tim was on the cape with some friends, one of them being my brother’s good friend.  They had plans to go out on their friend’s boat, but the boat broke down so they came over to my parents’ to go to the beach from there.  Tim said he had recognized me from the city and asked for my number so we could hang out, from there we had a couple of great dates and have been together ever since. 
”

Before the Wedding Meaghan and Tim sent us some photos of the property and we were so excited to photograph there all weekend! Needless to say when we first saw it in person we were totally blown away. The beautiful view of the waterway and the old bridge was lovely and we couldn’t wait to do their portraits all over the property. Friday evening we photographed their Rehearsal Dinner at The Chart House and we arrived by boat on Meaghan’s Brother’s boat, The Framed. The whole evening was so much fun. Here’s more about the property and how much they love it….

“It’s special in so many ways, the obvious is it being my childhood home, and where Tim and I officially met.  I can’t express how much I love the backyard, the cove, and the broken bridge which is where all my childhood memories are from.  Me and my girlfriends used to carve our crushes’ name into the wooden bridge with rocks when we were little.  It was so surreal to me doing our first look in that same place.  It was ideal for us to have all our friends and family at the house where we spend so much time so they could appreciate it and get a glimpse of how much we love it.

”

The entire day was filled with fun memories but we all agreed that The First Look out on the bridge was something special! Tim’s expression was amazing and these were easily some of our favorite photos from the day! We also returned to the bridge for the surprise Bag Piper Performance and again for evening portraits. The whole day was magical. The sunset was gorgeous and everyone loved gathering not the lawn to take in the view.

“The first look for sure!  Everything about the wedding was amazing, but the first look was so unexpected and I had really been looking forward to it.  Between Tim and I, I’m definitely the one to cry, but I loved that he couldn’t hold it together and was so emotional.  It’s a moment I will never forget and it was the perfect start to everything.  I’m so happy we were able to have a moment between just the two of us to appreciate each other before the day really got going.”
