An Afternoon With The Frazier Family – Nantucket Family Portraiture
– The Frazier Family –
Nantucket is a very special place to be a family photographer. I love the unique combination of photographing families who live on Nantucket year round and families who come from all over the world to visit this special island. This year I have gotten to know another great local family, the Fraziers. Angel and Pepper live and work on Nantucket and they are raising three great kids, Felicity, Happy & little Pepper. They also have two Pugs, Monomoy and Starr Lite, who were a great addition to the family photo session. Angel and I had some great conversations recently about the Nantucket and I asked her about their connection to the island….
From Angel….”I have a special love for Nantucket. I was born and raise on the island by my native father and mother (from NYC) who shared with me the beauty of Nantucket. I am lucky to be able to raise my children here and pass down the magical adventure Nantucket has to offer. I find Nantucket has a special place in my heart and now my children as well.”
I too was born and raised here and I couldn’t agree with her more about how special it is to grow up on the island. Here’s a collection of images from our session this fall! I met them at their house in Surfside and photographed the kids as they played in the yard and then we all walked down their path to the beach by Surfside. These kids were all smiles and it was wonderful to photograph them as they ran around the beach and played with their dogs. It was a truly great afternoon!

Hello:
I have met you parents when I lived on the Island and I am very good friends with Susan Cary and Lynn Walshis also a good friend. I met Chadd in Haiti when Lynn told me about his work there..I too was doing volunteer work. But what is touching for me is seeing how happy Pepper and Angel are. My husband (former) but best friend Kip Altman, is Pepper’s dad’s cousin. So I have known the Frazier’s forever. Your photo’s are wonderful..you are so talented and I wish you much success. Please kiss the Rock for me..I miss it everyday!
Best…
