Rochelle and Ryan were married October 5th 2019 at Ryan’s family’s home on Nantucket. Ryan’s family has spent time on Nantucket his whole life and the island means so much to both of them. I have known Ryan for well over a decade and when he and Rochelle reached out about photographing their wedding I was over the moon excited for them! During the planning process it was wonderful getting to know Rochelle and we had so much fun for their Nantucket Engagement Session out at Sanford Farm with their dog Tyde and then aboard Ryan’s friends boat for sunset. These two bring out the absolute best in each other and you can see it from the moment you spend time around them. Rochelle’s permanent smile brings joy to everyone around her and Ryan’s quick wit always has everyone laughing. Their wedding day was stunning with blue skies and sunshine in a place that they love, the perfect backdrop for their celebration.

Nantucket is special to this couple for many reasons. Ryan grew up spending time on the island every summer and Rochelle’s family has vacationed here too over the years. “This was the place where we always reconnected over the years when we were not dating and finally it was the place that brought us together at the right time in our lives during September of 2017.”

When I asked Rochelle and Ryan about their most memorable moments of the day I loved all that they recalled. Right after they were announced husband and wife we hopped into their friend’s vintage Jeep Willys and cruised around Madaket for some photos on the bridge and at the beach. The light was gorgeous and they celebrated with a toast of champagne for our portraits!

“Driving around with you for pictures in the jeep right after the ceremony, sunshine and pure joy and freezing my ass off too haha! Also the shower of rose petals walking through our friends and family cheering after being announced husband wife and also the amazing speeches from our brother and sister! Dancing together and our first dance, and being surrounded by the people we absolutely love all in the same place. Also the most amazing food the whole event!”

Rochelle and Ryan live up in Maine with their dog Tyde, but spend lots of time on Nantucket too! We can’t wait to see all the happiness they will share over the years and we feel honored to have captured the beginning of this new chapter! Congratulations once again to the newlyweds!!
