Peyton and Keith were married at the Sconset Chapel and they had an amazing reception at the Sankaty Golf Club.  When I met Peyton’s mother she told me “After the ceremony we’ll all head to Sankaty and it will be one big party. The evening will flow with cocktails, music and dancing.” This was absolutely the case. Once we arrived at Sankaty the band started as did the dancing! The evening was an endless flow of good energy and celebration for the new couple!

I asked Peyton to share with us how they met and why they chose to get married on Nantucket;

“I met Keith in Sconset at the Summerhouse through mutual friends. I had grown up spending summers in Sconset and as it turns out Keith had also spent summers visiting Nantucket. Thus both of us share strong family connections to Nantucket. When we got engaged it was never a question of where we would get married. We knew that we had to celebrate our marriage in the place where it all started. The chapel has always been a special place for both of us and Sankaty was also important so us. I had spent time there over the summers and Keith loves golfing there every year. It was the perfect location with so many of our favorite island views.”

Upon arriving at the chapel on the day of the wedding the skies opened up and we did have a little light rain. This little shower was surely good luck and it didn’t phase Peyton one bit. At the request of the family I didn’t photograph the ceremony inside the Sconset Chapel but I can assure you it was lovely. As they walked out of the church everyone applauded and Peyton and Keith were all smiles. From there the rain subsided and gave way to a perfect evening at Sankaty. Peyton and Keith are back in San Francisco now but I know we’ll surely see them in Sconset again sometime soon.
