Chris and Melissa were married at the Nantucket Yacht Club! This sweet couple had an amazing wedding and one of the best receptions I have ever been to! They are great friends of mine and it was an absolutely amazing experience to photograph their special day!

Chris and Melissa met in San Diego. Melissa was in her last year of college and Chris had just graduated in Boston. He wanted to get away from the brutal winters thus he and some friends moved out to San Diego….needless to say he found more than sunny skies – he found Melissa! Later they moved back to the east coast and now they live in Boston together.

I asked Melissa how they decided on Nantucket and the Nantucket Yacht Club for their wedding….”We decided on Nantucket because we visit the island regularly since Chris’ parents both live there, and because I was excited to share the island with my friends and family. We associate the island with family, summertime, friendship and relaxation and we love it. We decided on the Nantucket Yacht Club because it was the first place Chris took me to lunch on my first https://phenadip.com visit to the island…..Lucky us, we had a perfect evening for our wedding! It was unexpectedly hot and humid which made for beautiful skies throughout the evening, it was totally magical.”

I have to agree with Melissa – this wedding was magical. They had a perfect day, a lovely evening and a group of friends and family who were so happy to be there with them! The dancing never stopped as Jeff Ross and The Atlantics played many of their favorite songs. Chris and Melissa had an extremely fun wedding party and you can tell they are all incredibly close friends. As the night ended their friends and family gathered on the brick walkway for a sparkler send off. They were literally glowing as they walked down to the harbor launch boat to head over to the wharf cottages for the night. It was gorgeous!
