Molly and Chris are getting married this October on Nantucket! I have been in touch a lot with sweet couple and couldn’t wait to meet them in person. Molly and Chris brought their amazing dog Lola with them to Nantucket and I was so excited Lola would be joining us for the session. Lola has so much personality and was not shy in front of the camera! Molly and Chris love so many things about Nantucket and it was really fun photographing them on an island they love so dearly. Here is a few more words from them about what they enjoy the most.

“The Summer before we started dating Chris asked me to come to Nantucket with him on his family trip. I stubbornly said no (even though I desperately wanted to go). Fast forward to the following summer and we took our first Nantucket trip together. It instantly became “our place”. Everything about the island fits our style and personalities – our love of the ocean, being outside riding our bikes and just spending quality time with family and each other. Off-season is our favorite time on island, when it is a bit more quiet, which is why we chose to get married in October.”

As always I was keeping a close watch on the forecast and as their weekend was approaching we did see some rain in the forecast. I loved how Molly and Chris were literally up for anything and on the day of our session they were so flexible as we made the plan to start right after the rain let up. The rain lingered a little longer than expected but that didn’t bother these two one bit! I love their positive attitude and the session ended up being such a fun adventure. We started out at the docks in the rain but in the end the skies did clear up a bit and we ended the session out at Cisco beach with their bright blue jeep! The sea was green and there were beautiful small waves crashing. I loved what Molly and Chris shared about their experience during the session.

“When we woke up that morning it was pouring rain. Laying in bed, we just decided no matter what we would make the best of it. This is an agreement that we make all the time with each other – that even if things aren’t exactly as we imagined, we will make it fun. About an hour into the shoot, the rain stopped and the island just started to glow. We picked up Lola, took the jeep out to the beach and got to take pictures with our toes in the sand. The whole day just felt like a relaxing adventure. We were laughing and having so much fun that we both completely forgot how chilly it was!”
