Louise and Justin are our kind of people! Between their beloved black lab Winnie and their love of fishing I knew we’d be a great fit! When they told me about their Nantucket Wedding plans and talked about incorporating their beautiful fishing boat, The Bitsea, into their special day we were so excited! These two have a love for each other that is evident the moment you spend time around them. They cherish their families and friends and we loved capturing so many of the heartfelt moments that unfolded on their day. It seems so fitting that this wedding was on Mother’s Day Weekend as they both have amazing relationships with their parents and we loved some of the Mom moments that came out of this wedding!! To say they had the perfect blue sky day would also be an understatement, this couple had a Summer day in early May, not the normal weather for a Nantucket Spring! I loved Louise and Justin’s description of their wedding and why these places were so special to them!
“Our Wedding Ceremony took place at The White Elephant on the back lawn. Due to the weather, we had to make the decision the day before as to whether or not we were still going to host an outdoor ceremony and we decided to go for it! It was the most spectacular day we had had in over a month. We chose the White Elephant because of it’s beautiful, harbor front location (with an indoor option if we needed) and with it’s proximity to the water and private docks, we knew we could surprise our guests with an exit as newlyweds on our boat, the Bitsea! The reception took place at The Nantucket Dreamland. Walking distance to the White Elephant which was a must, it was such a great venue to host cocktails, dinner, and dancing! Our guests were able to enjoy the harbor views from the terrace all evening.”
After their ceremony under blue skies and sunshine, just moments after Louise and Justin tied the knot at The White Elephant, they boarded their amazing boat The Bitsea for a little harbor cruise on the way to their reception. From start to finish this couple was all smiles (and some happy tears) and we couldn’t imagine a better day for their festivities! It truly felt like a summer out there!! I loved that Louise mentioned the Bitsea boat ride as one of their most memorable moments of the day!
“The weather made our ceremony exit on the Bitsea possible and one for the books, for sure! The friends and family who travelled from near and far – the furthest from Dubai also made every moment extra memorable!”
We couldn’t be happier for the newlyweds and I love knowing that we will see them around again soon on Nantucket, perhaps while we are out fishing too! We are wishing them all the happiness in the world and we are honored to have witnessed all the love and special moments during their festivities!
