Lauren and Ben were married on September 24th 2016 at St. Mary’s Church followed by a reception at The Nantucket Yacht Club. It was a beautiful fall day for their celebration with clear skies, a bit of wind and sunshine! I worked with Lauren many summers ago on Nantucket so it was truly an honor when she asked if we’d photograph their wedding. I met her fiancé Ben back in July when we did their Nantucket Engagement Session around Sconset. I could instantly see that Lauren and Ben share a love for life and adventure and they are so much fun to be around!

The Nantucket Yacht Club was the perfect backdrop for their reception….”I lived on Nantucket the summer after college with friends and fell in love with the island that summer.  After Ben and I got engaged, we started talking about places to get married and we knew Nantucket would be our dream location if we could make it work.  NYC was one the first venue we visited on the island and we knew immediately after our visit it would be the place we would have our reception.  Its absolutely beautiful and has a laid back atmosphere we liked.  The staff was great and its perfectly located within walking distance to town and many of the hotels and B&B’s. ”

There were so many highlights of their day! We loved photographing Lauren and Ben walking through town with their wedding party, there were many cheers and happy moments. After the portraits in town we walked to the Nantucket Yacht Club before doing a few photos down at the gusty but beautiful beach at Brant Point Lighthouse. …”Walking with my husband from town to the reception. We didn’t anticipate walking to NYC from town but it was a beautiful walk and provided us extra time to reflect on the ceremony together.”

The couple had a gorgeous reception and mother nature surprised us with an absolutely stunning https://xanaxtreatanxiety.com sunset. We loved photographing the newlyweds out on the docks against the beautiful rainbow sky. On our way back to the reception Lauren and Ben were met with a ‘surprise gift’ a visit from Hope Solo, the Goalkeeper for U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, who was here for the Nantucket Project. Knowing that Lauren is an athlete and soccer enthusiast, this was a great gift pulled off by one of her friends! We took their photo together and then the evening went on with beautiful toasts and a big dance party. The evening was so much fun! We couldn’t be more happy for Lauren and Ben! Looking forward to seeing them on Nantucket a lot in the future!
