– Kelley & Zach –

Kelley and Zach were married on September 13th on Nantucket. Kelley grew up here and although she and Zach live in Boston they come back to the island every chance they get. With such a love for the island it only made sense that these two be married here on gorgeous Nantucket.

From the bride….”I am a island child who grew up on Nantucket so I couldn’t imagine another venue or place that I would have the same attachment too as Nantucket. Zach has spent every Christmas, holiday and birthday here for the past six years so it has a very special meaning to him as well, the island was the perfect backdrop to our casual laid-back lifestyle we enjoy when we aren’t working in the city.”

They had a lovely day with soft beautiful light. Their wedding was a great blend of locals and friends and family who traveled in from off island. After the ceremony at Sankaty Beach Club we all went down to the beach for photos. This bridal party was so much fun to photograph, they were up for anything. Tossing bouquets around and also picking up the bride and groom at different points throughout the night…..and let’s not leave out the epic jump shot we did at Sunset. Kelley’s bridesmaids wore different colored bridesmaid dresses from J. Crew and they looked stunning.

With weddings every weekend I am always amazed at how different couples transform the different venues with their unique details. Another fabulous part of this wedding was the beautiful bouquets and flowers by Betsey Brooks Floral & Design. This wedding was incredible and as usual Nantucket delivered one of those unforgettable sunsets.

I was so pleased to photograph this wedding as I’ve known Kelley since we were kids here on the island. We have always been close family friends and I loved hearing about how she and Zach met…..”Zach and I met at Lasell college in Newton, ma.  We were at a party and he came up to me, handed me his beer and jumped out the window, I found or he was dodging what he thought were cops coming to the dorms that he was actually kicked out of. He and I moved in together only a couple weeks after starting to date and it is all history from there. ”
