Carlyn and Sam were married on June 9th 2018 at the bride’s family residence near Miacomet Pond on Nantucket. They had a stunning backyard ceremony under a tree that was transformed by Flowers on Chestnut. The rustic and elegant setting was a gorgeous backdrop for Carlyn and Sam to exchange vows. They were married under a tree surrounded by family, friends and their great dog Fry! I loved Carlyn and Sam’s words about their special day and including their sweet dog in the festivities….

“Our wedding was at the Caruthers family home on Nantucket and visiting there will always remind us of our special day.  In addition to the memories we will always have, this was a special place because it allowed us to include our dog, Fry, who is a constant source of joy for both of us.  We both love Nantucket for it’s year round beauty whether it is during the mild and gorgeous summers, or the quiet and tranquil winters.”

As always we love when couples add in some unique and personal touches to their wedding! They had really fun centerpieces that they had custom designed from different race tracks where Sam races cars!

“The centerpieces were from a company called Track sculptures.  We had them made, and stained them ourselves to better match the reception decor.  All are of tracks we have visited together, and Sam has raced competitively at.  A few of them I have driven as well. We thought they would be a fun and personal addition to our wedding.  Since every track is a unique shape they were perfect for labeling the tables. Racing a huge part of our life together.”

Another great part of Carlyn and Sam’s Wedding were all the kids! They had nieces and nephews in the ceremony and part of the whole http://www.papsociety.org/prednisone/ day. The kids were especially cute on the dance floor too! I loved hearing about the memorable moments of the day from the newlyweds…

“Our wedding day turned out to be a perfect, sunny day, which turned into a nice cool evening that made it comfortable for eating, drinking, and dancing.  The most memorable part of the day was walking down the pedal strewn aisle, past our friends and family, hand in hand for the first time as husband and wife.  This event was truly perfect in every way and we are so thankful to all of the people who went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly as we envisioned it.”

We couldn’t be happier for Carlyn and Sam! Since we first met I knew this couple was down to earth and so very kind. We look forward to seeing them around again soon and even getting the dogs together during their future visits on Nantucket!
