Stephanie and Peter were married on September 22nd 2018 on Nantucket. It was an intimate backyard celebration for two people who truly deserve the love and happiness they share. I’ve known Stephanie since I was a senior in high school, in fact, Stephanie was my chaperone for Nantucket’s Jr. Miss Scholarship Program. We have known each other for such a long time and I’ve always been so thankful for all she did for me during that year. When she got in touch with me to photograph her wedding I couldn’t have been more honored to document their special day. I loved hearing about her relationship with Peter and their journey to this wonderful day…

“Our wedding was in our neighbors yard and our yard. It meant a lot to us to have it right where we’ve being living the past 12 years!  Our neighbors are family, not just landlords/neighbors.  We kept it rustic & romantic, just like we wanted.” I asked her about some of the memorable moments on their wedding day….”I’d have to say, just having the people that meant the world to me there!  The special photos of my mum & dad wrapped around my bouquet!  Sweet Elvira giving the dinner blessing via Skype!  Having my sister, Jen & My bestie Joyce right by my side, as they always are! I could go on!”

Their ceremony was officiated by the bride’s sister in law who did an amazing job making it so very personal and sincere. Their sweet dogs also played very important roles throughout the day adorned in their ‘We Do Too’ bandanas! It was great to see so many fun locals at this wedding and meet their friends and family who traveled in for the special day. Nantucket is a special place and Stephanie and Peter who have very strong ties to the island we all call home…”It’s where we met, 2 weeks before I was moving away!  It’s the only place I have lived longer than years, being a Navy Brat my whole life! Nantucket is Home to both of us, even though we both wash a shores!”

They danced the night away and had a sparkler exit to finish off the evening! We couldn’t be happier for these two and can’t wait to see them around the island again soon!
