Sarah and Carter were had a beautiful Spring Wedding on June 17th 2017. They were married at The First Congregational Church and had an incredibly fun reception at The Westmoor Club. Sarah and Carter spend lots of time on the island as Carter’s family has a home here. The night before the wedding they enjoyed a Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party on the beach at his family home and after a many heartfelt speeches it was time to rest up for the special day!

Here’s a little more about this fabulous couple and their love for the island…“We chose Nantucket because Carter grew up coming to the island and I fell in love with it as soon as he introduced me to it. Our favorite moment was absolutely saying our vows and being pronounced man and wife and turning around to see all the beaming faces in the audience!”

Immediately following the church the couple exited with a petal toss which made for a lot of big smiles, something we always love to capture. From there we hopped into an 1970’s Land Rover and headed for the iconic and ever beautiful Brant Point Lighthouse. The sun came out for our portraits and the wedding party joined us at the beach. After another fun ride in the antique Land Rover we got to the reception where a classic Nantucket Fog rolled in and the party got started. After the traditional parent dances Sarah danced with her grandfather which was so very special.

As the band turned it up a notch the dance floor was full for the evening! We can honestly say that their wedding band, RickExpress,  was one of the best we’ve ever seen! Everyone danced the night away and we must say the kids at this wedding had some epic dance moves!

Congratulations to this incredible couple! They are off in Greece on their honeymoon now and we love seeing their photos of non-stop adventures! We are honored to have photographed their story and look forward to seeing them around Nantucket!
