Megan and James were married September 16th 2017 on Nantucket. Their wedding ceremony was at St. Mary, Our Lady Of The Isle Catholic Church, and their reception was at The Nantucket Golf Club. The wedding was nonstop smiles and amazing happy energy! We met the Kelly Family last year when we photographed Megan’s sister’s wedding and needless to say we were overjoyed to be photographing another Kelly Wedding! It was such a lovely day and we always love making portraits at places that are special to our couples!  I loved when Megan and James suggested going to Chaos Corner, a gorgeous park where they got engaged just around the corner from Megan’s Family home in Pocomo.

From Megan….”I grew up going to Nantucket and have had many special memories with family and friends spending our summers out here. Once James’ started coming out here with me, he instantly loved it as well. It is definitely our happy place.”

The wedding was full of heartfelt, hilarious and memorable moments including what I am now referring to as the infamous champagne spray. After the ceremony everyone gathered at the iconic compass mural at the bottom of Main St. for photos. James opened a bottle of champagne and took a sip of it…..and then….within a split second his hilarious groomsmen Bertie grabbed the bottle and instead of taking a sip, he sprayed champagne as everyone laughed, cheered and got drenched in bubbles. It was a moment none of us will ever forget! Later at the reception Megan had a great idea to incorporate some beautiful big white balloons into their day and these made for amazing additions to our portraits!

Fog rolled in over the golf course making for an absolutely stunning evening on the island we all refer to as The Grey Lady. After https://valtvalacyc.com some of the most hilarious speeches we have ever witnessed the dance floor was packed for the night!

From Megan ….”We loved Dancing up on stage with James and a bunch of friends and looking across the room and seeing all of our loved ones having a blast.”

Megan and James are an amazing couple and they spread joy to everyone around them. We are so happy for the newlyweds!
