Lauren and Glenn were married September 21st at the Great Harbor Yacht Club on Nantucket. These two had a truly stunning September Saturday with blue skies and sunshine! Lauren and Glenn have the type of happy relationship that you can see miles away, their adorable smiles and love for each other shines bright! It was such an honor to photograph Lauren’s special day with Glenn, the love of her life as Lauren is a friend of mine and our parents have been friends since before we were both born. Glenn is originally from London and it was such a joy to see all the family and friends who traveled in to experience an island Lauren and Glenn love so dearly.

A few more words from the bride about why they love the island…..”Nantucket has always been my home away from home. With a busy day-to-day life, it’s the place where things seem to slow down a little and offer a breath of fresh air. Between taking my first steps in Wauwinet, swimming at Cisco, barbecues on the beach, fishing at Great Point, learning to sail in Polpis Harbor, and grabbing a drink with friends at the Brewery to name a few, it’s been the place I grew up, became independent, and formed some of my favorite memories. Introducing Glenn to the island and seeing how much joy it brought him has only made it all the more special over the years as we’ve been able to make our own memories there together.”

After the first look we went to Brant Point for a few portraits and we basically had the whole place to ourselves. Lauren is an avid sailer and the lighthouse with the boats passing by made for the perfect special backdrop for their photos. From there we made a quick stop at the iconic Compass at the bottom of Main St. and then headed to Great Harbor Yacht Club for their celebration.

“Every moment of it, it’s impossible to pick just one! Those last few moments before my Dad walked me down the aisle, the anticipation of seeing everyone, then finally looking up and seeing Glenn’s smile is something that will stick with me forever.  I know that sounds cheesy, but I still get butterflies just thinking about that moment!”

After the ceremony Lauren and Glenn enjoyed time with their friends and family and then we strolled the docks at sunset for a few more portraits. The harbor lit up in hues of purple and it made for the most lovely evening for the newlyweds. Lauren and Glenn have huge hearts and through the speeches and during their dance party we could see that this was an extremely tight knit group of family and friends. We are truly honored to be the ones to capture their story and wish them all the happiness in the world as they start their new chapter!
