June 29, 2019
Lauren and Ed were married on June 15th 2019 at The First Congregational Church and then paraded with guests down to The Nantucket Yacht Club for their reception. I first met Lauren and Ed while photographing their surprise proposal at Galley Beach last fall and it was a magical evening! They have such good energy and Ed was so excited to propose to the love of his life, he even had all of their parents there to join in and celebrate right after with dinner at Galley Beach. It was such fun getting to know these two during their wedding planning process and they have a joy that radiates and smiles that automatically make you smile too! They held events throughout the weekend at their favorite places and loved showing their friends and family this island that they love so dearly.
“Nantucket is our favorite place where we’ve shared our happiest memories. Our favorite part about Nantucket is the incredible community it fosters. We wanted to emphasize this community orientation with our wedding guests by hosting all of our events within walking distance to each other and to town. Having our wedding weekend festivities at The White Elephant, Westmoor Club, Galley Beach, First Congregational Church and Nantucket Yacht Club highlighted for our wedding guests some of the special places that have made us and our families fall in love with the island and fall deeper in love with each other.”
Lauren and Ed have an enthusiasm for life and each other that is a joy to capture! I loved hearing about the extra memorable parts of the day which were also some of our favorite to capture! The petal toss leaving the church, parade to the reception and confetti exit at the end of the night all made for such fun and exciting moments! Here is more from Lauren and Ed….
“There were so many spectacular moments from our wedding – we can’t wait to relive it all through the fabulous photography!!! If we had to pick one, we’d have to say walking out of the church newly minted as husband and wife into a pathway soaked with sunshine, flower petals, and smiling faces of our friends and family was the most profound experience.. then only to be followed by the most fun-loving parade led by horns down to the Nantucket Yacht Club was incredibly special. We’ll never forget looking back up the hill to the church and seeing the incredible procession of our favorite people filling the street all the way back up the hill.”
As wedding season is in full swing we want to truly thank Lauren and Ed from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the freedom to capture their day and focus on all that makes them unique and wonderful! The relationships, emotions and moments that tell their story.
Special thanks to Cary Tozer for photographing this wedding with me! So thankful to have his talent and dedication to our weddings for the 6th season in a row!
