For Colby and Sam’s Engagement Session we started out at Tupancy Links, a place they love to walk with Colby’s family dog Tucker, a very sweet black lab. He made for lots of laughs and I loved photographing them in a unique place they love on the island. “We absolutely love the scenery, especially those off-the-beaten-path spots. Of course, we also love walking on the beach just before one of those spectacular Nantucket sunsets.” Speaking of Nantucket Sunsets, we had one of the prettiest ones that evening out in Madaket! Just after the sun went down the sky turned into an array of gorgeous colors!

About five minutes into the session Colby and Sam told me they were having way more fun than they had expected, and their enthusiasm added such great energy to the evening! Photo sessions should be enjoyable and these two were absolute naturals in front of the camera! Their kind words truly made my day….”We had a fabulous time shooting with Katie. We felt totally at ease and really had a lot of fun. The highlight had to be those shots on the beach, right when the sun was going down with rosé in hand.”

Colby and Sam are getting married in June at her family’s home in Connecticut and we can’t wait to hit the road with Maggie Stewart of Nantucket Island Events to capture all the festivities!
