Angela and Cuan were married at The Ocean House last summer on a beautiful August day!  Their ceremony was on the lawn over looking the ocean surrounded by family and friends.

When this lovely couple contacted me about coming to Rhode Island to photograph their wedding I was overjoyed! I had gotten to know them and they had spent a lot of time talking with many photographers, needless to say it was an honor when they chose us to tell their story! Having stayed at The Ocean House before, I knew this was a venue unlike any other.

As the ceremony started there was a summer mist that rolled in off the ocean and made for a gorgeous romantic setting. After the ceremony guests enjoyed cocktail hour on a beautiful patio overlooking the sea and then a fabulous evening in the ballroom.

Hanah Floral Design went above and beyond making gorgeous bouquets and an amazing arch for the ceremony. The Ballroom was transformed with florals and custom draping by Ryan Designs. The historical charm of this venue is unique and so elegant, we wanted to share a few words from their website describing the story of The Ocean House….”Famously known for its warm yellow facade and stunning views of the Atlantic, Ocean House opened in 1868 just after the Civil War. The hotel gained prominence among the historic New England hotels built during this era. Ocean House welcomed guests for 135 years, but as with many historic hotels, over time, neglect took its toll. The Ocean House was closed in 2003 when it was deemed beyond feasible repair. In 2004 a new structure replicating the original exterior design was conceived. Today, this much-loved beach hotel has been recreated to convey the romance of its storied past and the rich character of Watch Hill, Rhode Island.”

We can’t say enough about the amazing team at The Ocean House and working with their wedding and event coordinator, Stephanie Whitney-Nelson, was truly wonderful.
