Alex and Ellery were married on September 8th 2018 on Nantucket. They were married at Sankaty Beach Club on a very quintessential ‘grey lady’ day on the island. With pretty light overcast skies and an ocean breeze Alex and Ellery exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends. These two love Nantucket for so many reasons and I have enjoyed getting to know them more over the time leading up to their wedding.

“Then nantucket is so special to us since I grew up going every summer with my family. I’ve always loved the navy water, and green dunes…. I always feel relaxed and on vacation on the island. The views from Sankaty are so beautiful, with the ocean and the lighthouse in the distance and the rolling golf greens surrounding the old club house.”

This wedding had so many lovely personal touches. From the fun getaway car decorated by their siblings and friends to the unique colorful florals designed by Flowers on Chestnut. Their band played a wide variety of music and we got to photograph some incredible salsa dancing throughout the evening. It was also truly special to meet Alex’s grandparents, both whom made it out onto the dance floor many times!

Here are a few more words from Alex about the amazing day….”It’s so hard to choose a favorite moment from the day… everyone out on the dance floor was so fun… the band rapping nicki minaj was pretty cool, and then the exit and getaway car was really special.  Ellery would say just having all our friends and family celebrating together was what made this wedding so meaningful. We wish we could go back and do it all over again.”

This was an incredible wedding and we look forward to seeing Alex and Ellery again on Nantucket sometime! Also many thanks to Elizabeth, Alex’s Mom,  who was absolutely wonderful to work with on this wedding.
